Roads, Water and Orange" explores the journeys of life (the roads), their tribulations (the water), and the realization of love along the way (the orange). This album offers an unusual diversity of styles and sounds, from acoustic rock to bossa nova, songs that are both different and together, strung like diamonds along a live wire of ups, downs, and in-betweens. "Roads, Water and Orange" is a journey of souls searching for their Orangeland.
The disc is a glass-mastered professionally replicated CD packaged in a 6-panel Digipak (shown below), which provides lyrics for all songs. The disc (not shown) is black with bold silver text and subtle blue and orange stripes. The graphic design was developed by Emily Elgin and L. V. Cook.
All songs were written, produced and engineered by L. V. Cook at “The Soundproof Vanity” in Fairfax, VA, USA during 2007-2009. The CD was released in March 2010.
